One of my favorite things to do is partner with a mom to help her bring the party theme together on budget. Stella's mommy reached out to me for our DIY Party plan just 10-14 days or so before the big event with a color scheme and "sunshine concept". Our DIY plans provide a detailed description of how to set up the party, which items to order online or pick up locally, dessert designs, suggested party activities and party favor ideas within the stated budget. The mommy then picks everything up or orders online and sets it up the day of the party. I ended up popping over for 20 minutes to help at the last minute for this party as her mommy was very pregnant and needed a hand :).
Some of the fun summer DIY ideas we used for this sweet party included:
-Daisies in Dollar Tree sand buckets as centerpieces (that the kids can re-use after the party)
-We added a white runner to the already reserved yellow tablecloths to add some dimension
-Party snacks were simple and sweet: watermelon pops, popcorn and daisy cupcakes designed in the party's colors
-Stella's dad constructed the super cute lemonade stand where guests could serve themselves
-Party activities centered around water as Houston is HOT this time of year: slip and slide, spinkler, water balloons, etc.
