Let's face it; some of us (me) are more interested in the Super Bowl parties and commercials than watching the actual football game.....

These cute Valentine notepads are a personalized, affordable gift option for hostess gifts or for your child’s favorite teacher this season.
To make your own, follow these simple instructions: Step 1. Cut a piece of cardstock to fit the front of the notepad. (I got my notepads at the dollar store; five for a dollar). Cut a contrasting piece of paper the width of the pad x 2 1/2". Step 2. Fold and crease the contrasting paper so it wraps around the top of the notepad. Glue to the top of the cut paper and to the back of the notepad. Step 3. Attach one of the four hand drawn Valentine’s designs offered as a digital download. (I recommend using Fabritac glue to attach the images as it won't wrinkle the paper) Step 4. Embellish with additional paper, ribbon, buttons, or other decorative items to create a one-of-a kind gift.
I am not by any stretch of the means a football fan. But, I always watch the Super Bowl. After all, the commercials alone make the entire experience worth it!!
This year, as I was putting together some simple party concepts, I stumbled across a cute idea to tie tags around beer bottles as a way to show support for your favorite team. These 2" circle tags can be easily punched out using a 2" round punch (available at all craft stores). If you decide use as beer tags, simply punch a hole at the top and tie with coordinating ribbon. To use as cupcake toppers (for those of us who are more interested in the sweets offered at a party), simply attach white food sticks to the tags. Stay tuned for next week's Friday's Freebie......an interactive Super Bowl Commercial Bingo Game.
Today's Freebie is a template for a butterfly Valentine's Day Favor Card.
Here are the steps for creating your own butterfly favor card: 1. Download the butterfly template files (Pink and Purple or Blue and Purple) 2. Print on white card stock 3. Cut each butterfly out around the edges 4. Punch two holes at either end of the black, center portion of the butterfly 5. Thread your favorite lollipop candy (Dum Dum's, Blow Pops or Tootsie Pops) through the two holes Enjoy!
Today's Make-it-Monday project is super simple......
Grab a package or two of solid white, light pink or even red paper cups from your local Dollar Store and a package of glitter or felt hearts (also available at most Dollar Stores or craft stores). Use a dab of craft glue and attach the heart to the center of the cup. Allow a few minutes for the heart to set and voila....a cute batch of Valentine's Day cups for adults or kiddos for under $2 (cups sold as sets of 12). For an extra added touch, use coordinating striped paper straws!
Add a little fun and games to your evening as you celebrate the Golden Globes this coming Sunday night ! Print out this year's ballot and give your best guess as to who will take home the win in each category. Tally your score at the end of the evening, compare with friends and family, and see who takes home the prize for the best guessing strategy!
