The party theme: 50's sock hop. He wanted authentic sock hop. She wanted elegant dinner party. The result was our attempt to marry both directions into a fun, yet elegant affair fitting of their life together.
Upon arriving, guests were greeted by a red, 1950's Cadillac playing juke box tunes and three, six foot tall balloon ice cream sundae displays. The perfectly appointed red and white leather benches pulled out front were courtesy of the school halls. Once inside, guests were encouraged to leave their well wishes on the custom designed "guest checks" displayed on the poodle skirt table and to sign in on the large art canvas.
The decor inside of the gym was designed to be more elegant, yet playful. Tables were covered in a light white linen adorned with silver sequins circles. Centerpieces alternated between fun, custom disco balls and 1950 die cast cars set on mirrored rounds. To add in the record detail to the table settings, we added 12" LP record chargers for each guest and 45 record table numbers on stands.
Set against the back wall were the amazing custom desserts- 1950's cookies created by The Sugar Jar, sundae & cherry limeade mini cupcakes created by Timtations bakery and homemade biscotti to be served with coffee service provided by Tony B Mandola's Catering.
Ready to capture the night's moments was the 6' tall LP record photo backdrop with St Thomas High School mum photo props. And guests danced the night away to tunes by Pee Wee Bowen Band.
It was certainly a night to remember....
