Are you ready for some football??? Whether you are planning an onsite tailgate event, or homegating with friends and family, snacks will play a pivotal role in your presentation. Today, we are sharing how to create an elevated tailgate snack tray featuring Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips from our local HEB, vibrant vegetables and a chipotle lime dip recipe. Keep scrolling for two delicious serving suggestions and the complete recipes.
Step 1: Choose your Foundation
If you want to elevate your tailgate snacks, start by serving items individually versus on a snack tray. Personally, I don’t love the idea of choosing food that lots of hands have touched during an event. I DO love the idea of a build-your-own snack tray that each guest can personalize and hold throughout the tailgate event. We stumbled upon these small stainless trays, which are actually designed for toaster ovens. They are the perfect size to hold Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips, blackened chicken strip wraps, assorted fresh vegetables, and a homemade dip served in individual glass containers.
Step 2: Load the Tray with Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips or Chicken Wrap (scroll down for snack tray option #2) Chicken strips as a quintessential component to any tailgate event!
Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips are made with 100% real, simple, all natural* ingredients and chicken raised without antibiotics. Minimally processed. No artificial ingredients. We picked up a bag at our local HEB in the frozen food aisle. If you are hosting a large group, consider displaying the indiviudal tray components (i.e. chicken strips or blackened chicken strip wrap, fresh vegetables and a dipping sauce) in separate warming dishes or bowls, allowing each guest to customize their snack trays. Once tailgate party guests have chosen Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips or a chicken strip wrap, they are ready for Step 3.
Step 3: Add Homemade Chipotle Lime Dip
What does every amazing chicken strip and fresh vegetable need?? An amazing dip. My favorite homemade dip to accompany Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips and chicken strip wraps, is this chipotle lime dip. I love how the slight spice in this dip plays up the blackened flavoring of these chicken strips.
