Prosecco Margarita Ingredient Tips
The secret to an amazing watermelon Prosecco margarita is to begin with an amazing simple syrup. Create your Prosecco syrup by combining 1 cup of Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore with granulated sugar in a small saucepan. Prosecco Superiore is created using aromatic Glera grapes grown in the gentle hills of Valdobbiadene.
Over medium heat, bring this mixture to a boil while whisking continuously until the sugar has completely dissolved. Remove mixture from heat and allow it to cool completely.
Tip: To make your own fresh watermelon juice, combine 1-2 cups of cubed fresh watermelon into a blender. Blend until smooth, then pour through a sieve or colander, pressing gently with a rubber spatula or wooden spoon to extract the juice from the pulp.
Next, combine your selected tequila, fresh lime juice, Prosecco syrup and freshly squeezed watermelon juice in a cocktail shaker. Shake for 30 seconds. Pour the mixture into your margarita glasses, then top off with an additional splash of Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore.
Santa Margarita is a classic Italian wine brand grounded in elegance. The brand inspires wine drinkers to enjoy everything that life has to offer and the people they care about most. Their Prosecco Superiore and Pinot Grigio varietals were the perfect addition to our summer fiesta celebration.

Santa Margarita is proud of their tradition as one of the leading premium wine brands, especially in the super premium white and sparkling wine categories. I purchased my Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore and Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio bottles at my local Kroger, but I have also found it at local drug stores and supercenter stores.
