I ironically had this custom painted backdrop created several months prior for this concept, so I was in luck when Harrison chose this theme, as it served for the design inspiration for the remaining components of the party. I wanted to break up the traditional red and black coloring for this theme, so I added white linens and a fun ethnic runner to the dessert tablescape design.
I chose a modern cake with simple red circles that we displayed on a bold black modern cake pedestal. Store bought cupcakes we dressed up with small plastic swords and displayed on these fun ninja cupcake towers ninja cupcake towers. I love mixing simple elements into a party’s design, particularly when there is a theme involved. My splurge item were these origami ninja star napkins I imported especially for the party; they were SO fun!.
For seated tables, I wanted something simple, yet pulled together. So, I had 3D Ninja stars created as centerpieces, alternating between black and grey coloring. We used simple bamboo paper placemats for each guest’s seat, and our NEW ninja paper plates for a fun detail.
Each party guest took home white take-out boxes filled with ninja plastic men, ninja tattoos and special ordered fabric martial arts headbands; traditional designs for the boys and a more floral design for the girls. We added our printable favor tags, personalized with Harrison’s name and text reading, Thanks for Kickin it With Me!
