Butterfly Birthday Party Supplies
The dessert table design was inspired by the modern butterflies from our party supply collection. Created by Jackie took those images and created 3D likenesses on a plywood backdrop. Since Nora is pink or purple all of the way, I added this curly willow table skirt, which both added color and a touch of whimsy to the table’s design.
We were thrilled to showcase our new butterfly party supplies, including these colorful dinner plates we displayed on rustic wooden rounds. We kept the design concept for our seated tables simple, disposable white tablecloths, a DIY green plastic grass runner filled with fresh flower buds, and our layered place settings. Layering table settings with textures or colors is a simple way to add dimension to any tablescape.
Whenever I host parties, I choose 2-3 activities to entertain the guests with, preferably within the party’s theme. For Nora’s butterfly birthday party, we set out a simple butterfly coloring station with card stock cut-outs and a container of crayons. We also had some DIY butterfly sun-catchers to create with colorful paints. And, the highlight of the party, which also doubled as the party favor, were these DIY butterfly garden containers.
To set up your own butterfly garden station, you will need the following:
- Containers
- Top soil
- Variety of potted flowers or plants
- Planting tools
- Toppers- small stones, colorful rocks, fun garden gnomes, butterflies, etc
Set out a table with the items displayed, instruction labels and then watch as each guest creates their own take-home garden.
