Can you guess what Stella’s favorite color is!?! We used purple as the jumping off point for the party’s design. There were two design focal points for Stella’s dessert table; the DIY backdrop and the elaborate floral garland.
To create your own DIY butterfly backdrop, you will need a thin piece of plywood, purple acrylic paint, paint brushes, die cut butterflies, vinyl cut to spell the child’s name, and a staple gun. First, we applied a coat of our chosen shade of purple to the entire piece of plywood. Once dried, we applied her name which was pre-cut in several pieces of vinyl. Finally, we attached the die cut butterfly pieces using a staple gun to look as if they were flying. For dimension, we selected several purple color varieties in addition to a soft pink and white for the butterflies.
To soften the table’s design, we added a beautiful wrap around, floor-length white tulle table skirt. And then the splurge decor item for this party was most definitely the stunning floral garden wrapping the entire front of the dessert table. Its vibrancy was truly amazing!
