When planning a tablescape, it’s all in the details! This formal winter wonderland table is full of the prettiest, tiniest details created with our Gemini die cut machine from Crafter’s Companion. Below, we are sharing 4 simple DIY paper craft projects that can elevate your holiday décor in minutes.
4 Die Cut Paper Craft Projects to Elevate your Holiday Tablescape
Using our Gemini die cutting machine from Crafter’s Companion, we crafted 4 simple DIY projects that brought that extra little something to our winter wonderland tablescape. This die cutting machine is SO versatile, with the ability to work with paper crafts, home décor pieces, stationary, sewing and quilting projects and party decorations.
We used the Gemini to die cut card stock for the projects shared below, but it is also compatible with vinyl, foil, and fabric. I love how it created these delicate, elaborate paper designs for our formal winter wonderland tablescape.

Embellished Place Cards
Place cards are a wonderful way to welcome guests to the dinner table. Our simple, black script place cards were elevated with gold die cut embellishments, and displayed in acrylic holders.
2. Dressed Up Favor Boxes
For an edible party favor, we filled small 2” clear cubes with shredded paper and a macaroon cookie. To dress up the box’s exterior, we attached a 1/4” wide piece of gold ribbon to the rear of the box using tape. Then, we added this small black feather detail created using the Gemini die cut machine and card stock. A small dab of craft glue or swipe or scrap booking tape will adhere the paper feather to the ribbon and/or clear party favor box.
3. DIY Paper Napkin Rings
Gold patterned fabric napkins were rolled and then dress up using a DIY paper napkin ring created with a stunning, elaborate die cut. Pro Tip: For intricate die cut designs like the one used in our paper napkin rings, you may need to run the paper through the machine several times, shifting the position between runs, for the best output. The die cut napkin ring was secured in place using clear tape and was the perfect detail to our place settings.
4. Chair Back Details
These formal bronze chairs were stunning in of themselves. But, to add a small whimsical décor detail to each chair back, we tied textured white stars die cut using our Gemini from Crafter’s Companion and black satin ribbon. Dressing up a chair back is a simple way to bring detail into a winter wonderland tablescape.
We hope our 4 die cut paper crafts inspired you to add similar details to your winter wonderland tablescape. The Gemini from Crafter’s Companion, which helped us create all of these gorgeous details, is available for purchase on Amazon and HSN.
