Party décor inspiration can come from just about anywhere; a linen pattern, a color palette, a design element or a season. This Easter season, we were inspired by the brightly colored Easter eggs detailed in our bunny invitation design. So, we used these bright colors and a farmhouse setting as the jumping off points for our Easter Egg hunt.
Easter Egg Hunt Décor
We were inspired to say the least with our venue’s stunning nature. So, we incorporated subtle farmhouse elements into our Easter Egg Hunt’s décor.
The seated table was draped in a layered white ruffled table skirt, which is one of my most versatile linen stock pieces. To contrast the white linens, and to bring in some farmhouse elements, we selected mis-matched wooden chairs for each guest’s place setting. We also chose to use paper-mache eggs as-is scattered across our green grass table runner.
The white napkins had the sweetest dot detail along the rim, which we carried through in our choice of glassware and silver beaded place card holders, each carrying tiny dots around their edges; a subtle, yet important detailing. Dinner plates were clear to allow the vibrant nature of the DIY chargers to pop through, and we brought in personalization for each guest through the use of the brightly colored Easter Egg place cards.
We added color with our DIY wooden egg plate chargers, coordinating printable place cards, bright green grass runner, and stunning floral centerpiece. Find out how to create your own DIY wooden egg plate chargers using Testors Corp acrylic paints in our video tutorial.
Our party guests couldn’t help but be enamored with this stunning hand painted cake by our friend over at Confection Deception. Every party deserves a stunning dessert option for guests to enjoy, and this one definitely “took the cake.”
Easter Egg Hunt Fillers
So, what do you fill those colorful eggs with?? Well, I myself have always been a fan of non-candy Easter Egg fillers, so that is always my jumping off point. We filled out Easter Eggs with an assortment of stickers, whistles, and necklaces from Oriental Trading. The remaining eggs were filled with little mermaids and army men we sourced from our local Target dollar aisle and some chocolate goodies, as well…..you have to have a few treats for the perfect Easter Egg Hunt!! For our happy hunters, we sourced colorful wooden baskets for each party guest to use for Easter Egg gathering. Two very special surprise guests made an appearance during the Easter Egg Hunt; a resident mini-horse and goat.
One more very important detailing to point out, which was also out in the estate’s gardens. As guests arrived, they were greeted with a gorgeous bouquet of tulips set inside a distressed mini-wheelbarrow and a handmade distressed wooden gate adorned with fresh greenery.
Happy hunting; and, we hope you found some “egg-cellent” ideas from our bright and cheery Easter Egg Hunt!
