Kate loves everything girly and elegant, and of course, the color pink. So when designing her dessert table, we opted for a frilly curly willow tableskirt wrapped around a 48” round table. To make Kate even more the star of the show for her party, we created a pink silhouette of her profile with gold background accents and her signature bow headband as the backdrop. Framed in simple white, this art piece is the perfect addition to her bedroom as a keepsake after her party. I love including décor elements into birthday parties that can be re-purposed somewhere else in the home or reused for future parties.
Her birthday cake was a modern, two-tiered gold and white show stopper! While simplistic in its design, the gold stripes across the base tier of the cake helped to tie the other tabletop components together. And, I love the unexpected nature of the larger bottom tier of the cake in juxtapose to the smaller gold top tier. Cake was served on pink and gold ombre “Happy Birthday” paper plates alongside gold glitter paper napkins and with gold plastic forks.
As an alternate dessert choice, and for the many parents attending the event, we also served varying shades of pink nail polish sugar cookies displayed in a low, white bowl.
Guests took home varying shades of gold and pink nail polish, complete with favor tags reading “Mani Thanks, Kate”.
Mani Thanks for taking a peak at Kate’s 5th birthday party details!
