1/2 + 1/2cupAMERICAN HERITAGE® Chocolate Finely Grated Dark Chocolate
11tbspunsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup hazelnuts, chopped & roasted
1/3cup heavy cream
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place 6 mini tart shells on a baking sheet and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine graham cracker crumbles, 1/4 cup AMERICAN HERITAGE chocolate, 3 tbsp brown sugar and 8 tbsp melted unsalted butter. Press the mixture into the tart shells.
Bake the tarte shells for 10-12 minutes, then set aside to cool completely.
To create the salted caramel, place 1/2 cup granulated sugar in a small saucepan and cook until the sugar melts completel; about 8-10 minutes.
Once the sugar has melted, remove it from the heat and add 3 tbsp melted, unsalted butter. Whisk until combined, then add 1/2 tsp salt and 3 tbsp heavy cream.
Sprinkle 2 tbsp chopped hazelnuts across the 6 tart shells.
Place the tarts into the freezer for 10 minutes to set.
To make the chocolate ganache, heat 1/3 heavy cream in a small saucepan until scalding, being careful not to burn. Remove from the heat and add 1/2 cup of AMERICAN HERITAGE chocolate, whisking until the mixture is smooth.
Remove the tarts from the freezer and top with ganache.
