Have you chosen your family Halloween costumes this year? How do you normally go about choosing/ordering? Do you shop local stores, browse online or look through catalogs?
For the past three years, our kids have decided to go on Halloween night as a family theme, which I will admit is fun for me and amuses people that we stroll by. In 2015, the kids dressed up as Superheros. In 2016, my husband and I got involved and we all went as a character from Alice in Wonderland.
With a family of six, we have to choose a theme that has a number of characters to choose from and one that the kids are familiar with so that it is fun for everyone. This year, we landed on Snow White, in part because we all thought it would be funny for baby Ella (3 months) to be the “Poison Apple” carried by mommy, aka “The Evil Queen”.
Our oldest daughter Nora (4) naturally was Snow White, complete with a black wig and all. I love that she will get enjoyment from this Snow White costume well beyond Halloween. She doesn’t hesitate at all to jump in the costume for a photo op, and is truly looking forward to prancing down the street on Halloween night.
