Surf’s Up! Summer is nearly over, but there is always time for a surfer themed birthday party!! We loved pulling together this fun party and hope you find inspiration for your upcoming event!

When working on this surfer party design, we wanted to incorporate new twists on this classic party theme. Our dessert’s backdrop is none other than a 3D surfboard rack. Hand painted surf boards were created to hang on the rack!

We chose a simple burlap table cloth as our base and then added this custom printed wave printed fabric from Minted as an overlay. For a bit of whimsy, and some pops of color, we layered a felt ball garland and our beach shorts banner across the table’s front.

Surfer Party Supplies

One of the highlights of putting this surfer party together was the ability to showcase our newest tabletop collection, including this vintage van dessert plate, modern wave dinner plate and fun Surf’s Up paper cups. These surf board napkins from Oriental Trading completed our tabletop design.

Surfer Party Desserts

We dressed up store bought cupcakes with these fun waves cupcake wrappers and personalized cupcake toppers from our printable collection. The cake featured simple, modern navy circles along the base of a buttercream cake. We added surf board cookies and brown sugar to resemble sand to dress up the cake’s top.

Surf Party Favors

Each surfer party guest took home these fun sand buckets filled with goodies and tied with these fun favor tags reading, “Thanks Dude”. Sand buckets are amazing summertime party favors, as they can be used for some many purposes and enjoyed well beyond the party date.
