To add visual contrast to the light lavender linen, I added a darker shade of purple for the napkin; color variations within the same hue are a great way to offer a monotone design look with visual interest. I brought in additional texture and softness with this fun faux white fur table runner. I love how the softness plays off the icy silver touches throughout the tablescape. Place settings were dressed up by layering a silver charger, a crisp white plate and our rolled napkins.
In keeping with New Year’s Eve, I brought in the sparkle with mini disco ball centerpieces (which could definitely be used for other parties or purposes afterward), silver frame placecards, and these gorgeous winter snowflake napkin rings. To thread through the color purple, the text used in the placecards utilized both the light and dark shades. For intimate gatherings, placecards add that small, personalized touch making guests feel special and welcomed!
For added fun and to get into the spirit of the event, we added party blowers, mini party hats and a specialty blackberry-raspberry champagne cocktail sitting atop sparkly silver coasters. To recreate your own festive cocktail, simply add a splash of Chambord to the base of each champagne glass, add a handful of fresh blackberries and top with your favorite champagne. It’s both delicious and festive. I was thrilled to come up with a cocktail that coordinated with our color scheme (I mean, how fun is that!?!).
Happy New Year!!
