Summer, sunshine, carnival games….YES! This vintage boardwalk theme is so much fun and perfect for just about any celebration! We thought it was just about perfect for this sweet girl’s 7th birthday party!!
When designing the main table, we wanted to focus on the bright pops of color; red, turquoise, and yellow as our main color palette. To bring color into the table, we added these yellow paper fans, red paper fans and mini turquoise paper fans to the front of the table linen. To pull in the black coloring of the standees and other coordinating items, we used a black and white table cloth as a runner across the table.
The centerpiece of our sweets table was this simple white buttercream cake decorated with red and teal blue ribbon and a simple “7” topper. To either side of the cake, we served cupcakes dressed up in “Happy Birthday” cupcake wrappers and sitting on top of DIY cupcake stands we made from plastic popcorn boxes.
For a fun bulk snack, we couldn’t resist serving popcorn in these red and white striped boxes which we added these fun 2” square stickers to. For a bit of nostalgia, we placed a gumball machine and glass container full of button candy on top of ticket rolls. And finally, both for fun and to enjoy during the party, we displayed these 18” twist lollipops in vases filled with white sixlets candies to either end of the table.
Beyond the fun main dessert table details, you couldn’t miss the giant standees acting as the table’s backdrop. The oversized ferris wheel standee and roller coaster standees set the perfect stage for this big birthday bash. And finally for added color in the background, we displayed this fun, “FUN” standee.
Guests enjoyed our games table throughout the party, full of nostalgic carnival type games made with a little DIY. Guests pulled plastic ducks out of water in a blue tub to see if they were marked for a prize, tossed rings onto colorful cones, threw ping pong balls into clear plastic fish bowls, dropped discs down a pegged board and took home fun balloons by our resident artist Bugga Bugga Balloons.
Guests could select a variety of fun surprises from our fun “Prizes” board; mini game cubes, magic 8 balls, kazoos and mini Uno games were packaged in “Happy Birthday” favor bags.
Setting the stage for these fun games were these fun souvenirs standee and boardwalk games building standees. And, to keep the décor consistent, we used simple black paper tablecloths and the same black& white striped tablecloth as an overlay for these tables.
Everyone had a blast celebrating our birthday girl’s big 7th!
