To complement the fun coloring of their crated goodies, we created this simple DIY tree backdrop using sheets of thick poster board found at the local craft store, a straight edge and an craft knife. Simply sketch to size a variety of trees on the backside of the stock using a pencil, then use the craft knife to cut out the shapes. You can either set them against a solid wall, or mount them to a thin piece of plywood for your display.
For desserts, we offered a simple white buttercream cake adorned with this fun gold “Party” topper and cupcakes dressed up in red paper cups and adorned with fun paper fan toppers. For an intimate event, offering a cake for dessert is a great option. However, if you are expecting a number of guests, consider a variety of mini desserts for serving ease. Beverages were a plenty, served in “Cheers” plastic cups alongside champagne to ring in the New Year. For the New Year, offer champagne, a variety of other alcoholic options such as beer or liquor, and consider creating a fun signature drink for your event.
Fun party goodies to liven the spirit like these mini golden striped paper hats were made available for guests. And, then for a simple, yet fun party favor, we tied tags from the crate to mini champagne bottles.
Using a base of supplies to build upon is a great way to achieve a cohesive party design look, without the fuss, expense or aggravation that can often accompany shopping during the holiday season!
