Kate’s 4th birthday party was her fairy tale come true!! Her request….a Belle party. So, we delivered! With the 2017 release of the 25th anniversary edition of Beauty & The Beast, timing couldn’t have been more perfect to play with this theme!! And, for those of us who remember the original movie release, it was super fun to reminisce. Keep scrolling for lots of Beauty and the Beast party ideas!
Beauty and the Beast Party Decorations
Party guests were greeted in the yard by a hand painted, pink frame full of the most well-known character silhouettes from the film. Yard signage is such a great way to greet party guests!
Kate’s dessert table pulled imagery from the film through coloring and deconstructed concepts. The custom made yellow table skirt played homage to Belle’s stunning ball gown. Iconic printable character silhouettes were displayed in ornate, pink frames. The frames were displayed against a white floral backdrop, which had a wonderful glimmer. To pull the pink coloring through the base of the table’s design, we added a printable Happy Birthday banner across the table’s front.
Beauty & the Beast Party Desserts
Kate’s two-tiered birthday cake also pulled inspiration from Belle’s dress as the base tier with yellow swags and rose detailing. To keep the cake’s design simple and modern, our top tier was simple white buttercream. We chose a single “4” gold glitter topper for a touch of personalization. Rose buttercream cupcakes, also pulling from the rose in the film, were displayed on vintage inspired books. We also offered a gorgeous set of personalized sugar cookies; tea pots, Belle dresses and floral details.
Beauty and the Beast Party Activities
The highlight of Kate’s Beauty and the Beast Party was the character appearance. Belle and Cinderella both delighted guests with group dance, stories and photo opportunities. In addition to the character appearances, party guests also enjoyed over-sized cardboard coloring castles. They could create DIY princess crowns or play Pin the Kiss on the Frog. Offering several activity stations is a great way to create good flow at a party.
Beauty & the Beast Party Favors
Guests selected from among sweet hand mirrors or royal scepters as their party favors with tags that read, ”Thank you for being our guest”. Since Kate’s party included children of both genders, we wanted to include options that would appeal to both.
We hope you enjoyed, “Being our Guest” at Kate’s 4th birthday party and that you gained inspiration for your next event! If you are looking for more princess party ideas, don’t miss Nora’s 3rd birthday party, or Ariel’s guest appearance at our Under the Sea party.
