Sweet Julieta’s Hawaiian 2nd birthday party was a huge hit, held the morning of the 4th of July!! We focused on bright colors, traditional Hawaiian fun items, modern elements and a bit of whimsy when creating this party’s overall design. We hope you find fun inspiration in our Hawaiian party ideas.
Hawaiian Party Ideas- Decorations
We wanted Julieta’s dessert table to be ‘colorful’ and Hawaiian inspired. The backdrop was a simple roll of bamboo fencing standing up behind the banquet table. The table was skirted with a fun grass table skirt.
Green & white patterned gift wrap served as a table runner, giving a great pop of color and added decor dimension. Beautiful sugar cookies which were designed in likeness to the party printables were displayed on bamboo placemats. The centerpiece of the dessert table was the brightly colored 2-tier Hawaiian birthday cake decorated with handmade sugar flowers. Flagging either side of the cake were perfect pineapple cake ball pops. And lining the outer edges of the table were fun pineapple straw cups for the kiddo to enjoy.
Children’s Tables
lined the center, layered to form a DIY runner. And, alternating pink leis and green leis were draped over the backs of each guest chair. Adding decor elements that can double as party-favors or fun dress-up items during the event is a great cost-saving idea.
