Bouillon Cubes vs. Better Than Bouillon
Did you know that there is a better option than traditional bouillon cubes?? My burgundy mushrooms recipe calls for both chicken bouillon and beef bouillon, and while I have used cubes in the past, I am thrilled to share with you that there is a better way. Better Than Bouillon is paste concentrate that can be used in place of bouillon cubes and even to make stocks. It offers rich flavoring that is easy to incorporate into a variety of holiday recipes. While I am showcasing the chicken and beef flavors in this mushroom dish, Better Than Bouillon is available in a variety of unique flavor combinations.
What Type of Mushrooms Should I Use?
How many mushroom varieties have you enjoyed? Some common mushroom types that you may find at your local grocer include button, Portobella, Shitake, Oyster, and Crimini. Each mushroom type can be characterized with different shapes, textures and even flavors. For burgundy mushrooms, the most classic varietal to include is white button, although you can also use small portobella mushrooms for a rich flavor profile.
