While I LOVE Halloween candy, not all parents are thrilled with the idea of their child coming home with buckets full of treats from that night as well as from school parties! It can become overwhelming, particularly if you attend Trunk or Treat, classroom events and Trick or Treat on Halloween night. While I love to see the excitement on my children’s faces when they dump out their candy buckets, I am also a huge fan of practical treats.
Boo-doh is a great non-candy Halloween favor for classmates, friends, neighbors or to pass out on Halloween night. I love that Play-doh is suitable for children of all ages. And, I love that it is a great option for classrooms that are allergy conscience. Each calendar year, my younger children pass out Halloween goodies to their classmates. And, we have made it a tradition to allow them to choose which goodies they would like to give. Once the items arrive, we assemble them together. It has been a truly wonderful family tradition. And, the kids have so much pride handing out something that they helped put together.
