How to Host a Magical Fairy Birthday Party

Everyone at Ellen’s birthday party had a “fairy” good time!! I mean…how adorable is the matching birthday girl standing proudly in front of her party!?! We hope you find inspiration in our fairy birthday party ideas outlined below!

Fairy Party Decorations

We were inspired by the coloring and design motifs found within Ellen’s printable fairy birthday party invitation. For the dessert table, we draped the coordinating printable “Happy Birthday” banner across the crisp white, floor-length linen. For additional pops of colors, we suspended bright pink and lime green paper pom poms from hooks in the gazebo. A colorful pink and green gift wrap piece added a fun pop to the table as a disposable runner. But, the highlight of Ellen’s fairy party dessert table was the selection of desserts.

Fairy Party Desserts

The highlight of this fairy party dessert table was most definitely this fondant fairy house cake, inspired by an original design from our friend over at Bird’s Party. Perched on a white pedestal server, it was a show stopper. To complement the dessert, and to offer guests a variety of sweets, we also served store bought cupcakes dressed up in printable toppers and colorful macarons.

Fairy Birthday Party Activities

One of the highlights of this fairy birthday party was the DIY headband station. Guests enjoyed creating their one-of-a-kind headbands using available embellishments. To create your own DIY headband station, gather solid plastic headbands, craft glue and a variety of embellishments. Small flowers, sequins, textured pieces, ribbons and beads are just a few examples of fun options to provide. The headbands were perfectly paired with fairy wing favors draped across each chair back. I love the idea of party favors doubling as colorful decorations.

In addition to the DIY headbands and fairy wings, party guests took home colorful fairy wands with personalized favor tags attached reading, “Thanks for Making my Party a Fairy Tale”.
