Well, we finally did it and moved to the ‘burbs….which means starting over in a number of ways for our family. To jump start forming new friendships in our new area, we decided last minute to host a casual ‘Boxing Day’ party in honor of the day my Canadian husband celebrated when back at home after Christmas on the 26th.
For sweet treats, we kept things whimsical and fun. Our table centerpiece was a DIY donut hole tree I crafted that morning. To either side was an assortment of simple vanilla cupcakes with crushed candy cane topping. Sitting tall were some amazing polar bear cake ball pops sitting on top of ‘snow’. And last but not least, my all time favorite winter treat…..penguin cake balls sitting in ‘snow’ aka powdered sugar.
The HIT of the party was the artificial snow station! 80 gallons of man made snow filled a children’s pool filled with sand box toys. As you can see, fun was had by all!
