​Booing our neighbors has become a household tradition in our home, and one of their absolute favorite things to do! It’s super easy to do, and lots of fun for the entire family. Keep reading to find out how to create your own “Boo it Forward” kit for your neighbors.

Every year, we pull together some goodies to drop over at our neighbor’s houses as a little surprise. We choose a time and then the kids sneak over and leave the basket with goodies on their doorstep.

This year, we found these adorable Halloween buckets at Target, so decided to use them for our little project. Since the kids in our neighborhood are all around kindergarten age, we filled the baskets with fun, age appropriate toys and treats.

You’ve Been Booed Ideas

Each basket had some fun sidewalk chalk, little Halloween notebooks, light up bracelets for Halloween night, fun Halloween socks, adorable hair ties from our friends at Plum Polkadot, plastic bat straws, candy treats and instructions on how to keep the tradition going.

To create your own “Boo it Forward” basket/bucket, simply begin by selecting a container and then fill it with fun goodies. Any amount is perfect; this is simply a gesture to make someone else smile and for your entire family to have fun establishing a new, annual tradition. Be sure to download your FREE You’ve Been Booed instructions to place in each basket or  bucket that you drop off at the end of this post!

This year, we decided to add a “Boo” spider circle we printed on card stock to an orange balloon for added fun. Simply print our FREE printable below, trim and then attach to a balloon using tape.
