This boho chic inspired dinner was put together by the City of Kemah to honor Skylar Banz, Miss Teen Kemah.
Skylar loves glitz and glam, with a hint of boho chic, so we created this DIY backdrop in a fun color combination using tissue garlands and plastic tablecloths. You simply shred using scissors, cut into loops and attach in sections to a plywood base using a staple gun. The end result is fun not only close up, but at a distance. For texture and a touch of whimsy, we opted for this white tulle table skirt.
Her celebration cake was certainly fit for a princess; white fondant details with a gold glittered base and topped with a simple crown. To add variety to the dessert table, we displayed white cake ball pops dressed up in gold flakes and macarons with painted gold brush strokes on white and gold stands. Desserts were served on these bold gold and white circle paper plates.
For a touch of femininity, 2 florals were placed at either end of the table. Smaller versions of these florals were centerpieces on our seated tables draped in white linen and dressed up with gold beaded chargers.
This celebratory event was elegant and kissed by a little glitz, just like Skylar.
